Idol Bowl
Like many women in America I geared up to watch my first and last football game of the season on Sunday. For me the Super Bowl isn’t about which team is playing, but more importantly I watch for the entertainment...especially the National Anthem. Being the American Idol fan that I am, I was absolutely thrilled that last year’s winner Jordin Sparks was scheduled to officially begin Super Bowl XLII. For Jordin this performance was crucial, why because she holds the title of lowest first week sales in Idol history, with her self-titled debut album.
As the time approached for the game to begin, my friends and I couldn’t figure out by the looks of them who was more nervous the players or Jordin. Finally, she hits the stage, or should I say the field to begin singing, looking as stunning as ever. My friends and I are in pure silence as we listen to her produce what seems to be a crystal clear performance. I thought to myself wow, she’s not missing a note, I knew I voted for her for a reason. And then, I said aloud “is she lip-synching?” Sure enough the next time the camera hit her, her voice was doing one thing and her lips were doing another. I couldn’t believe it, why would she lip-sync with millions of people watching her? Or maybe she didn’t. This seems to be a much talked about topic on the internet today.
I obviously have my opinion on rather Jordin sang live or not, now I’m curious to hear yours.
Until Next Time,
Dominique
