Shred-It Success
On Saturday, I took part in our station’s “Shred-It” event, designed to help citizens protect their identity.
The documents that people shredded came in all shapes and sizes. I believe dirty, dusty and old are the best adjectives. People brought tax documents, credit cards, computer discs and more. You name it, they brought it. Come to think about it…there was that one lady who accidentally put her cell phone in one of the bags to be shredded. Thankfully, we saved the cell phone from the shredder.
It is always great to be out in our community, conversing with everyone. This is the second time we have held this event. By all accounts, it was definitely a success. I lost track of the total number of people who attended. At last tally, it was over 1,500 people. The weather was great. To top it all off, I had some amazing conversations with people.
Thank you to all who came out.
I look forward to seeing each of you and more…at our next Shred-It event, in September!
