What do you think of today’s ruling?
He looses his job and gets a day in jail for the following:
Costing the team’s coach his job, ending a team’s season, helping to create an atmosphere of racial smear and hatred, smearing the good name of 3 Duke students - they will forever be linked to an alleged rape - lying in court, witholding exculpitory evidence, creating turmoil within the community, but especially cruel was his creation of anguish within the boy’s families.
All of this damage because he was committed to getting re-elected and decided that taking the uncorroborated word of woman with a questinable history and witholding evidence was the way to go about it.
One day in jail? Someone in his position of trust should be held to a higher standard than that.
