Congrats UNC
I know there are those who don’t like sports or baseball and dare I say it…UNC, but they deserve some attention tonight. Making it to the finals of the College World Series is something to be applauded for. Sports are a way of life for many and being able to compete for a national title in anything is news worth sharing.
So, Congratulations to the Tar Heels and all your fans tonight for making it this far and good luck as you prepare for a rematch with Oregon State Saturday night.
Have a thought or question let me know.

Yes congrats to the Tar Heels for reaching the College World Series! A geat accomplishment. A bigger accomplishment for beating Mississippi State in the opening round. Big Prop’s to the Heels for coming back after trailing 4-0 to the Diamond Dawgs!!! But in the end it’s Oregon State who gets all the credit and publicity. A team from a small town in the northern hills of Oregon who win the College World Series two years in a row over the same opponent, UNC. The PAC-10 Once again comes through when you least expect it. All eight teams who reached the CWS deserve the recognition because going to Omaha is equivelannt to the BCS Bowl Games in Football and the Final 4 in men’s and womens basketball. Speaking of the BCS Bowl games which one will West Virginia and the Oregon Ducks and Alabama be playing in? Over 92,381 fans attended Alabama’a -A- Day game back in April and Nick Saban a West Virginia native is being paid 32 million Dollars to coach the team. Only in the SEC do we have such hype/anticipation and buildup for College Football 24/7. That’s all everyone talks about is College Football until an SEC Team reaches Omaha and then the conversation changes subject for a day or two or three.

SEC vs ACC in College Football, lets roll the dice and see who comes out on top when you match a Boston College against Georgia or Duke versus Ole Miss or Virginia Tech vs Florida. Some great matchups on paper and on the field. In the end it comes down to the SEC, why you ask? Just look at the coaches who are coaching in thre SEC that have won national titles!!! Nick Saban, Urban Meyer, Steve Spurrier, Phillip Fulmer the lists goes on and on. the SEC Ranks in College Football is discussed 24/7 and is the number one topic at any restaurant or establishment in quite frankly the south. So when will UNC with Butch Davis or NC State with Tom O’Brien visit a Tuscaloosa or Baton Rouge?
