NCCU Dorm Closed Due To Mold
This time, the Eagle Landing dorm, on the campus of North Carolina Central University, has mold. You may recall back in 2004, NCCU experienced similar problems with mold that forced students out of the dorms and into temporary housing at area hotels. Read the assessment for the Eagle Landing dorm, here.
Has anyone ever had complications from mold? If so, drop me an email. I’d like to hear from you.

Jason…...it wasn’t only mold that these students were exposed to. The entire environment of the dorm was unhealthy and students lived with/in this. Why didn’t this all come to light before 5/7?
I can’t believe that this dorm wasn’t “closed” back in September when the first inspection took place! Why and how in the world could the Admin of NCCU and the State allow students to live in this dorm with these conditions? Has NCCU made the residents of this dorm from 9/06 to 5/07 aware of the situation and the potential health risk(s) that they might have been exposed to?
I am a very concerned parent, my son is a student at NCCU. Thank God he commutes! And, on behalf of the parents and students….what is the status of the living conditions in the other dorms? I am working on inquiring/obtaining inspection data from the State on all dorms and living facilities at NCCU.
This needs to be made on-going public knowledge. Major risks were taken by the State and NCCU, how irresponsible! We cannot “hush” this issue.
I couldn’t believe the 17 page report! Talk about justice!
